The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Music Teacher to join our Performing Arts Faculty. The post-holder will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning, inspire a passion for Music across the school, and contribute actively to the ongoing development of our curriculum. Working closely with our newly appointed Curriculum Leader for Music, you will help shape an engaging, inclusive and ambitious musical offer that enables all students to thrive.
You will teach across a range of Key Stages, ensuring lessons are well‑planned, dynamic, and responsive to the needs of all learners. Beyond the classroom, you will support the wider life of the Performing Arts Faculty, contributing to concerts, productions, enrichment activities and events that raise the profile of Music within and beyond the school community.
We are looking for a teacher who:
Demonstrates a deep enthusiasm for Music and for nurturing a love of learning in the subject.
Has strong subject knowledge and is committed to delivering consistently high‑quality lessons that maximise student progress.
Brings creativity, energy, and initiative to curriculum development and collaborative working.
Uses a range of teaching strategies and technologies to engage, challenge and motivate students of all abilities.
Values teamwork and contributes positively to the wider Performing Arts Faculty.
Is committed to their own professional development and to supporting whole‑school priorities.
Upholds high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and student wellbeing.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Inspire students through excellent subject expertise, engaging teaching and high expectations.
Work collaboratively with the Curriculum Leader to review, refine and enhance the Music curriculum.
Promote participation and achievement in Music, ensuring students make strong progress and take pride in their learning.
Make effective use of ICT, digital audio workstations and other technologies to enrich learning.
Contribute to a vibrant extra‑curricular programme, including ensembles, performances and whole‑school events.
Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families, promoting the school’s values and ethos.
Play a full part in school life, supporting the Creative Arts Faculty to deliver high‑quality experiences within and beyond the classroom.
