Why Support Us?

Fulford School has served its local community and beyond for 60 years. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for all our pupils. Our values are strong and clear. They take us beyond academic excellence to creating an environment where all our young people can thrive through the opportunities and provision we offer.

The anticipated central government funding is expected to barely suffice for our staffing and maintenance expenses. York is one of the most underfunded authorities nationwide, and Fulford School faces a disparity in funding when compared to similar schools in other regions. Despite our meticulous budgeting to maintain our status as one of the highest-achieving schools nationally, the current school budget falls short of facilitating the desired enhancements to the student experience that we aim to provide.

We have established a fund-raising committee as a sub committee of our governing body. Its aim is to ensure any generous donations have a maximum impact on the lives of the students at the school.   The aim is to enhance the school environment and to further support a wide range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities.

Current projects

If you’re interested in making a donation to support a specific school project, we appreciate your targeted contribution.  The details of our current project is below.  Future projects will be decided by stakeholder voice.

Project Name: Learning Resource Centre Renovation – Phase 2

Description:  Thanks to a generous donation from Pavers, we have successfully renovated half of our learning resource centre. Now, we are embarking on the second phase of the project to complete the transformation of the entire learning resource centre space.

The upcoming renovation will encompass a full overhaul, incorporating additional computers to facilitate both full-class instruction and independent learning. This comprehensive update aims to cultivate an environment that is not only conducive to learning but also engaging for both students and teachers alike. The modernised learning resource centre will serve as a hub for intellectual exploration, fostering a positive atmosphere that extends the school’s commitment to education and literacy.

By enhancing our learning resource centre, we aspire to create a source of pride for the entire school community. This revitalised space will stand as a testament to our dedication to educational excellence and intellectual growth. We believe that such investments have far-reaching effects, positively influencing the well-being of the broader community.

To make this donation please log in to your Parent Pay account, where you can make your donation. We are hoping to raise in the region of £25,000 to complete this project.

EXCITING NEWS – Pavers have kindly confirmed they will ‘match fund’ any donation up to £12,500!

Your generosity will play a crucial role in the success of this initiative, and we sincerely thank you for supporting our school’s specific project. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact us at office@fulford.york.sch.uk.
