Design & Technology Teacher

Salary: MPS/UPS

Contract: Part time, permanent 0.4 – 0.6FTE

Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, passionate and innovative teacher to join our D&T team. The successful candidate will be able to teach Design and Technology to KS4 or KS5, but the ability to teach other specialisms across the department up to GCSE level would be an advantage.
The subject is taught by an enthusiastic group of teachers who have a wide variety of analytical, design and making skills, including traditional hand skills, and computer-based skills, meaning that students are well-informed when making their chosen outcomes. 
 
The department offer a range of qualifications at GCSE and A level including:
  • A Level Product Design
  • A Level Fashion and Textiles
  • GCSE D&T
  • GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition
  • BTEC Engineering and Construction
 
The successful applicant will be:
  • A highly motivated, enthusiastic and confident teacher who enjoys delivering high quality, creative lessons to further develop students interests within D&T.
  • Able to teach across the age and ability range at age 11-16.
  • Able to secure high standards of engagement, progress and achievement for all students.
  • An inspiring practitioner who keep abreast of the latest developments in learning, teaching and innovations in D&T.
  • Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school and be committed to extra-curricular activities.
  • Eager to become a supportive Form Tutor.
