The Role –
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and committed teacher to take on the role of Curriculum Leader for Personal Development. This role includes leadership of statutory Personal Development provision including RSHE, Citizenship, CEIAG, SMSC, British Values and Online Safety, in line with statutory guidance and STPCD expectations. At Fulford School, Personal Development is delivered through a team of staff from departments across the school with KS3 students receiving two hours of PD per fortnight and KS4 students receiving one hour of PD per fortnight. Please note that the structure of the Personal Development timetable does mean that the Curriculum Leader for Personal Development will also be required to teach in another subject area.
What We’re Looking For –
We welcome applications from colleagues who are passionate about Personal Development, able to deliver high-quality lessons, understand statutory RSHE, CEIAG and wider PD requirements, and can collaborate effectively with colleagues and external agencies. The Curriculum Leader for Personal Development works closely with our Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the whole-school personal development strategy is coherent, ambitious and tailored to the needs of our community.
TLR Responsibilities – Curriculum Leader for Personal Development (Permanent)
– Lead and oversee a Personal Development curriculum that is expertly sequenced and age appropriate and ensuring compliance with statutory RSHE, Citizenship, CEIAG, SMSC and British Values requirements.
– Ensure curriculum content meets Ofsted EIF expectations for Personal Development.
– Keep up to date with national policy developments and support staff professional development.
– Co-ordinate with the pastoral team about tutor-time, assemblies and enrichment activities
– Work closely with safeguarding, pastoral and SEND teams.
– Monitor teaching, learning and provision through learning walks, work scrutiny and student voice.
– Analyse data to review impact and report findings to senior leaders.
– Ensure statutory documentation is up to date and published as required.
– Undertake duties as set out in the STPCD.
