Social Science Teacher

Location: Fulford School 

Salary: MPS/UPS

Contract: full time, permanent

Start date: September 2025

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational teacher of Social Science to support the growth and development of this faculty within Fulford School from September 2025.
Within the Social Science faculty we offer the following range of courses at both Key Stage 4 and 5, with strong outcomes across all curriculum areas
Key stage 4:
  • RE, Business and Health and Social Care
Key Stage 5:
  • Psychology, Sociology, RE, Philosophy, Business and Economics
The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge and will be able to teach a combination of subjects offered within the Social Science faculty and will ideally have a specialism in Sociology.
The Social Science faculty at Fulford School is made up of enthusiastic teachers, eager to spread both their passion for, and understanding of, the disciplines within Social Science. Through a carefully planned curriculum, we seek to ensure that every student can find success and enjoyment on their way to the appropriate qualification for the next stage of their lives.
The successful applicant will be: 
 
  • A highly motivated, enthusiastic and confident teacher who enjoys delivering high quality, creative lessons and inspiring a love of learning.
  • Able to teach across a combination of subjects within the faculty, ideally with a specialism in Sociology.
  • Able to secure high standards of engagement, progress and achievement for all students.
  • An inspiring practitioner who keeps abreast of the latest developments in learning and teaching.
  • Able and willing to make a full contribution to the life of the school and be committed to extra-curricular activities.
  • Eager to become a supportive Form Tutor.
