3G Artificial Grass Pitch Consultation

posted in: News | 0

Dear School Community,

RE: 3G Artificial Grass Pitch Consultation

Fulford School in partnership with a number of local football clubs, City of York Council and the Football Foundation, are looking to develop a new 3G Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) on the school grounds.

Our commitment to enriching student opportunities drives this initiative; aiming to create a fully-accessible AGP suitable for various sports. The envisioned facility includes features such as a rugby shock pad, sports lighting, acoustic fencing, and a modular changing room facility.

Not only will this project enhance sports facilities on our school grounds, but it will also be a valuable asset for the local community. Outside of school hours, the AGP will be available for use by the community and grassroots sports.

We are launching a consultation with parents, carers and the local community, and are working with a variety of sports bodies and charities to secure their support. We are looking to evidence the need for the pitch and the benefits it will bring so encourage everyone to take part.

The consultation will take the form of an online questionnaire and will be open until Sunday 31st March 2024. This questionnaire can be accessed by the following link:

To help the consultation, a meeting is being held for local residents on Monday 19th February at Fulford School. The drop-in session will run from 5pm to 7pm.

Your support is crucial to the success of this project, and we encourage you to complete the consultation questionnaire. If you have any queries or questions, they can be sent to us via consultation@fulford.york.sch.uk

Thank you for your involvement. Kind regards
