School Closed for Remainder of School Year

posted in: News | 0

After consultation with Public Health, I regret that we have had to close the school to pupils for the remainder of the school year.

Positive COVID-19 cases along with associated mandatory isolation of identified contacts mean that over 500 pupils must self-isolate. We also have 35 members of staff self-isolating.

It is always a difficult decision to close a school, especially following the 18 months of disruption our pupils and parents have experienced. However, the safety and well-being of all within our school community is our highest priority and the decision to close was made on these grounds.

All lessons are now being delivered via MSTeams. The school day will follow a similar pattern to that of our previous lockdown. A reminder of login details was sent in my letter dated 12 July 2021.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
