In June we sent 80 players to the largest junior event in the calendar, the Youth Open Outdoor National finals. Fulford competed in the U14, U17 and U20 divisions and had a fantastic time doing so.
We had 3 teams in the U14 division, including one team who went undefeated and finished 9th – as high as their starting position would allow! This meant they won the Plate trophy – congratulations!
The 3 U17 teams also put in some fine performances, including some revenge wins from losses earlier in the season. In the U20 division, some of our most experienced players went toe-to-toe with friends/rivals from across the country, and managed to close out a sudden death win in the championship match – being crowned NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
A huge congratulations goes to this team, which included some of the founding members of Fulford Ultimate who have been there since the very start. Well done.
